Art By Kudzi is not a store. It is a ministry.
Behind every piece is Kudzai Mhishi, known as Kudzi, a Zimbabwean-born, Melbourne-based contemporary African artist, thought provoker, business consultant and faith leader. He grew up in Zimbabwe during one of the most turbulent economic collapses in modern African history, where art became his escape and expression always mattered more than technique.
At 18, he left Zimbabwe for Australia with little more than twenty kilograms of clothes and the determination to build something from nothing. He built a career in financial services, became a CPA and reached director level at a large consulting firm. From the outside it looked exactly like success. Underneath, something was always missing.
Then one morning on a prayer walk, he heard something he was not expecting: Your art is the key. Put it out there.
What followed was not immediate reward. His corporate career ended, a relationship fell apart and his health began to suffer. And in the middle of all of it came the clearest sense of direction he had ever felt.
My Mission
To make exceptional art accessible to everyone, art that speaks life into homes and hearts across many nations. Every piece of prophetic and Christian wall art in this collection is rooted in scripture, lived experience and vision. Painted in real seasons of loss, surrender, breakthrough and impossible certainty.
For people who need their walls to declare hope over despair, healing over wounds, strength over pressure, favour over failure and victory over everything that tried to take them out.
