Rise Above It All shows an eagle flying over vast land, a vision that came to Kudzi in a dream and became the image at the centre of this canvas. The land itself represented a specific territory God wanted him to occupy, and waking from it, he understood the eagle's height as a picture of Deuteronomy 11:24, the promise that every place you set your foot has already been given to you.

Meaning & Inspiration

An eagle doesn't get caught in the small details on the ground below it. It rises, and from that height the whole landscape becomes visible at once. Rise Above It All carries the same message, that refusing to stay trapped in the minute details of a struggle opens up a wider vision, one where God's territory for you extends further than what's directly in front of you. Four scripture references are woven into the piece. Deuteronomy 11:24 sits in plain sight, and the other three are left for you to find, the same way God's promises are often waiting to be discovered rather than handed over all at once.
